The people behind your stay.

Most of our team have been part of the house since the opening, creating an atmosphere that feels both effortless and deeply personal. Everyone shares the same warmth, making you feel less like a visitor and more like part of our family.

Our Story

Raised in Kenya, Luisa has always called it home. Her connection to Kenya spans several generations, shaped by both her Italian and Scottish heritage. Her father played a role in the development of a number of renowned safari lodges across Kenya, fostering a lifelong connection to its tourism industry.

Luisa spent much of her childhood travelling across the country with her family, developing a deep appreciation for Kenya's remarkable landscapes, diverse cultures and extraordinary wildlife. These early experiences instilled a lasting love for the place she has always called home.

In 2004, Luisa purchased Hamilton House, drawn to its historic character and timeless charm. Today, the house reflects everything Luisa loves about Kenya: generous hospitality, unhurried living, and a deep appreciation for its people, landscapes and wildlife. Every stay is shaped by her local knowledge, thoughtful hosting, and the belief that the most memorable way to experience Kenya is to feel completely at home.
